The BMW X3 Diesel range

There are many reasons for choosing a BMW diesel engine.  But the strongest of all is their enormous torque, which delivers surging acceleration on inclines or when overtaking.  The four and six-cylinder units offer huge pulling power and outstanding refinement throughout the rpm range, while their common-rail technology significantly reduces engine noise.  All diesel models are equipped with a particulate filter as standard.

2.0d

This engine combines powerful acceleration and pull with efficient fuel consumption, while the 0-100 km/h is achieved in just 9.3 seconds.  The 2.0d is now available with the six-speed transmission making it the ultimate SAV within its class.  The X3 2.0d is offered as an SE or M Sport model.

3.0d

This engine is a compelling example of the benefits of BMW diesel engineering.  At speeds as low as 1,750 rpm, this smooth running six-cylinder, with its 160kW output loads the crankshaft with an impressive 500 Nm of torque.  The result is assertive pull and a confident, assured drive.  Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes only 7.7 seconds.  The X3 3.0d is offered as an SE or M Sport model.

3.0sd

A few diesel engines set the standard but only a few set the standards for the rest.  Equipped with the Variable Twin-Turbo technology the 3.0sd is exceptionally dynamic, responsive and powerful.  It combines instant responses at low revs with convincing performance high up in the engine speed range.  With 210 kW and maximum torque of 580 Nm, this car is truly one of the worlds sportiest of diesel sports activity vehicles.  The X3 3.0sd is offered as an SE or M Sport model.
